Northborough’s 8th Annual Turkey Trot – 2015!

Turkey Trot 2014 Volunteers ResizedOn Thanksgiving Day, the 8th annual Northborough Turkey Trot 5K run/3K walk will kick off from the Zeh School at 33 Howard Street at 8 a.m. to raise money for the Northborough Food Pantry. When the event began in 2008, Rita Matraia of The Core Connection hosted the race starting in her front yard. Since then participation has skyrocketed and it has outgrown its humble beginnings. Last year, this event was moved to the Zeh School to accommodate increased participation and raised over $5,600 with 240 runners/walkers on a very snowy Thanksgiving morning. This year, it will be bigger and better with an official timing company, corporate sponsorship, and T-shirts (guaranteed for participants pre-registered by Nov. 14th). Register online until NOON on November 25th by visiting Adults – $20, Kids 17 and under – $10, Family of 4 (which includes only two adults over age 18) – $60, Family of 5 (which includes only two adults over age 18) – $65. Race registration also takes place at The Core Connection on Wednesday, 11/25 from 5 to 7 pm only – cash and check only. Pre-registered racers may pick up their bibs at this time as well.

Registration on the morning of the race ($25 for adults and $15 for kids 17 and under) from 7 am to 7:30 am only – cash and check only. Checks made out to Northborough Food Pantry. Questions can be sent to Hope to see you on Thanksgiving morning!
