Your pelvic floor is the base of your core and its function affects your entire body. So many women have issues, but don’t know how to recognize signs or might even shrug off the symptoms as “I thought it was normal because of having kids! I’ll just live with it!” Please don’t accept it because you CAN fix it! Do you suffer from inconvenient, unexpected incontinence or have a fear of pelvic organ prolapse? Maybe you are experiencing pelvic pain or hip pain. This workshop will help you take matters into your own hands by exploring alignment, breath, core bracing, and pliability of pelvic floor musculature. We will discuss why Kegels are NOT always the answer and how, if misunderstood, can often exacerbate the situation. We will teach you so much more about optimal pelvic floor function so that you can get your life back! This workshop will be instructed by Rita Matraia, owner of The Core Connection. Rita is a Restorative Exercise Specialist certified through the Nutritious Movement Center, a certified Personal Trainer and STOTT Pilates® instructor as well as a Healthy Foot Practitioner and founder of The Core Connection.
