Ria, Instructor
Ria is a 200-hr certified yoga instructor and has been practicing yoga for the past 12 years. Her focus is on Vinyasa flow, including beginner, gentle and all levels classes. When she started her yoga journey, she often found that entering a new class felt intimidating. Her goal is to provide a safe, comfortable and encouraging environment for everyone who enters her classes. With inspirational themes drawn from the 8 limbs of yoga, she aims to inspire you to return to your mat day after day. Ria enjoys selecting music to match the energy of the flow and creating sequences that feel good in all bodies. With a background in Biomedical Engineering, Ria has always been interested in the inner workings of the human body. She finds that the practice of yoga is the perfect way to bring our mind’s attention to the intricacies of our own bodies. When not on the mat, you might find Ria singing, catching up with friends, hanging out with her husband and two sons or teaching high school math to emerging bilingual students.
