It all began at a spring community fundraiser for the Northborough Education Foundation. Rita’s winning bid gave her the opportunity to create a new sushi roll at the amazing Yama Zakura restaurant. After meeting with Anna as well as the sushi expert at Yama, Rita’s Core Crunch was born! Devising another way to give back, Rita planned to donate $1 to the Northborough Food Pantry for every roll sold in June. She then decided to expand that to every roll sold this summer! The totals are in and 368 delicious rolls were sold making this one of the best selling rolls of all time at the restaurant – and it’s still available! The Northborough Food Pantry will be receiving a check for $368. Giving back has never tasted so good!
