Jessica completed a 200 hour Yoga certification program in 2007 through Frog Pond Yoga Centre in Princeton, MA. Frog Pond encourages their students to evolve their own practice and teaching style, “to open to the teacher within and teach from the heart.” Jessica’s study of Rājā Yoga, the eight limb path outlined in Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras, teaches her to live the Yogic lifestyle both on and off the mat.

Jessica’s goal in teaching Yoga to others is to share her own Yoga journey by teaching students how to quiet the activities of the mind, create a state in which one is present, and keep the body healthy, strong and flexible. Since asana (posture or pose) is only one of the eight limbs of Yoga, Jessica believes in teaching students about Yoga philosophy and incorporating other practices, such as pranayama (breath exercises) and meditation, into her classes. Her teaching style is influenced by Iyengar Yoga, as well as vinyasa, yin and restorative practices.

Jessica holds a bachelor of science in Psychology, with a minor in Human Resources, from the University of Scranton. She holds an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) certification with the Yoga Alliance, is a certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and a certified Reiki Master.
