Being strong makes everything else easier. Resistance training promotes the growth of lean muscle mass, which in turn helps cultivate a healthier metabolism. The more muscle your body has, the more calories it will burn at rest. In this class, we will use dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells and more to work through basic movement patterns such as squatting, deadlifting, pulling, and pushing. Progression includes learning ranges, complexes, chains, and circuits. Cardio intervals may be included in the workout. Modifications are available and make this class accessible for beginners. Bring water and athletic shoes that have not been worn outside for this workout.
